Director-choreographer Farah Khan has reflected on how the era of superstars is over, criticising new actors for interfering in directors' decisions out of insecurity. Speaking on Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi’s show Double Date, Farah contrasted young actors' lack of trust with the discipline of actors Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. She highlighted that while newcomers micro-manage casting and music, established stars place complete faith in their directors.

Critiquing the mindset of the current generation, Farah highlighted how self-doubt drives their need to control creative aspects. "The problem is today's actors don't have confidence in anyone. They don't have confidence in the director. They want to choreograph the song on their own, interfere in music and casting as well. All of this comes when you are not confident about yourself," she said.
