Space Exploration Technologies Corp., or SpaceX (SPCX -9.05%), completed its long-awaited initial public offering (IPO) on June 12, 2026. The satellite, rocket, and AI company is the largest IPO ever, raising $75 billion (nearly triple the $25.6 billion raised by Saudi Aramco in 2019).

SpaceX priced its IPO at $135 a share (a staggering $1.75 trillion valuation). The space and AI company has taken investors on a wild ride since going public. It initially popped to about $225 per share right after its IPO, then tumbled below $105 per share by early August. SpaceX has since recovered and was trading back above its IPO price by early November.

SpaceX is a groundbreaking company. The Elon Musk-led start-up was the first private company to develop a liquid-propellant rocket that reached orbit, the first to send astronauts to the International Space Station, and the first to achieve a vertical propulsive landing.
