A county-by-county look at how much support each candidate got in the Texas Senate general election

State Rep. James Talarico defeated Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton on Tuesday in a historic victory. Talarico will be the first Democrat to represent Texas in the U.S. Senate since 1993.

Talarico defeated U.S. Rep. Jasmine Crockett in the Democratic primary in March. After receiving a late endorsement from President Donald Trump, Paxton defeated incumbent Sen. John Cornyn in May’s Republican primary runoff.
