Russell Brand's wife appeared on the verge of collapse as the disgraced star was convicted of one rape and three sex assaults against four different women.

Laura Gallacher, 39, had to be held up by a security guard while leaving Court Three at Southwark Crown Court after a foreman delivered the jury's bombshell verdicts on Thursday afternoon. She had earlier looked tearful and as though she was struggling to breathe while a female pal held her hand while they waited for the verdicts to be delivered.

Ms Gallacher later turned her head and body towards a wall and held her hand over her mouth in shock after hearing her husband was being remanded in custody ahead of his sentencing this Monday. The verdicts eventually came after eight hours and 30 minutes of deliberations, after she had again bravely accompanied her husband to court.
