A consortium made of Silver Lake Partners and the Saudi sovereign wealth fund PIF reportedly approached Unity, a 3D application and video game software publisher, in recent weeks for an acquisition valued at around $25bn. Unity, which has just published quarterly results beating estimates, is said to be working with an investment bank to evaluate its options.
