Massive market rotation raises question: Is the sell-AI trade here to stay?

Investing.com - Tech saw a sharp rotation into hyperscalers on Wednesday, while semiconductors and data center infrastructure stocks came under pressure as a Democratic election win triggered a huge thematic rotation. Amazon rose 6.1% on the session, Microsoft gained 6.7%, Alphabet climbed 3.2%, and Meta added 1.4%.

"Our US desk is seeing a clear rotation into Hyperscalers from both LOs and HFs," Goldman’s trading desk wrote, with long-only funds and hedge funds both participating.

"Investors viewed the Democratic win as potentially making new builds harder and existing, power-secured compute more valuable," Goldman’s TMT specialists added.
