Houston restaurants that closed in October include Barbacana, Moderno, Cutting Board and more.

In a big month for exciting restaurants opening in Houston, a handful of local restaurants still closed.

The most high profile closure was Barbacana, a promising two-year-old restaurant that many hoped would stick around for a while. Other restaurants with even shorter runs that called it quits. Moderno Tacos + Tex Mex, at 12 years old, is the longest-running restaurant on our list.
