FTSE 100 falls to near one-month low as global tech rout deepens

Investing.com -- British stocks fell to a near one month low on Friday as a global tech rout over AI investment worries after the U.S. midterms spread to Europe.

The sharp downturn wiped out the bulk of the week’s rally, after the blue-chip index brushed just shy of record highs 24 hours earlier.

The FTSE 100 fell 2.2%, set for its biggest daily fall since March. It was on course for a 1.7% weekly decline.
