Father of three identified in fatal solo motorcycle crash

San Francisco Chronicle · Brooke Park ·

Henry Moore was planning his next family vacation before a solo-motorcycle crash took his life last week.

Henry Moore spent as much time as possible outside of his 12-hour shifts at the Chevron Richmond refinery travelling with his three young children to places like Hawaii, Tahoe and Disneyland, and gathering for monthly dinners with loved ones.

While he was headed to work in the early morning of Oct. 29, he fatally crashed his motorcycle along the Manuel Campos Parkway on-ramp to westbound Interstate 80, according to police and Moore’s cousin-in-law Jess Romero. The unexpected tragedy left behind his wife and their three children, Ria, 11; Jhene, 8; and Nathaniel, 3.

Romero is uncertain about what exactly caused the crash, but said investigators ruled out reckless speed as a factor after reviewing the scene.
