Two men were injured in Santa Rosa in what police described Thursday as a fight involving a gun — the city’s second reported gang-related incident this week.
The fight happened around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday on the 1200 block of Cedarwood Drive, according to the Santa Rosa Police Department. The callers who reported the incident described hearing a vehicle “peeling out” followed by sounds of gunshots, police said.
Officers found two men in their 30s who said they had been confronted by a group of three or four individuals who “challenged them to a fight and used gang-related language,” police said. At least one shot was fired after the fight escalated, according to the police department.
