EDMONTON, AB, Nov. 4, 2026 /CNW/ — Members of the media are invited to join the Honourable Eleanor Olszewski, Minister of Emergency Management and Community Resilience and Minister responsible for Prairies Economic Development Canada, along with her co-chair and New Brunswick counterpart, the Honourable Robert Gauvin, Minister of Public Safety and Minister responsible for La Francophonie, as they present awards recognizing excellence in emergency management across Canada.

The awards recognize individuals, organizations and communities that have demonstrated leadership and outstanding contributions in five categories: Resilient Communities, Search and Rescue Volunteers, Search and Rescue Employees, Next Generation, and Outstanding Contribution to Emergency Management.
