Ollie Watkins left Aston Villa to move to Al-Hilal in the summer, but now it appears his wife has returned to the UK amid missile strikes in Saudi Arabia

Ollie Watkins' wife, Ellie, has left Saudi Arabia with their children following Houthi missile strikes that shook the country. Watkins departed Aston Villa to join Al-Hilal in a move understood to be worth £20million per year, tax-free.

However, Ellie has chosen to return to the UK with their daughter Amara (5) and son Marley (3) amid the re-escalation of conflict between the Yemen-based Houthis and the Saudis. In October, 13 people were killed by a Houthi air strike on Riyadh's airport.
