Wedbush raises IMAX stock price target to $62 on box office growth
Investing.com - Wedbush raised its price target on IMAX Corporation (NYSE:IMAX) to $62 from $60 while maintaining an Outperform rating on the shares. The stock currently trades at $47.20 with a market cap of $2.6 billion, though InvestingPro analysis suggests the shares may be overvalued relative to its Fair Value estimate.
The firm said IMAX should surpass its 2026 box office target of $1.4 billion and raised its 2026 EBITDA margin guidance to above 50% from above 45%. The company achieved a 50% EBITDA margin two years ahead of schedule.
Wedbush cited footprint expansion and upgrade opportunities in a post-Odyssey box office environment as a key growth driver. The firm also pointed to filmed-for-IMAX content acceleration in 2026 shifting to content quality and flexibility in 2027.
