Russell Brand was remanded in custody after being found guilty of rape and sexual assault today, giving no reaction other than to close his eyes when he learned his fate in court.

The comedian and actor was described as "predatory" by a senior crown prosecutor following today's verdict after he was found guilty of one count of rape and three counts of sexual assault but not guilty on three other counts.
