Deepinder Goyal wants to take Temple all the way to its 20th generation. The entrepreneur has revealed plans for the wearable, which combines microphone-free AI interaction with health tracking and personal life-logging features. The first version, Temple 01, is expected to ship in early 2027.

Deepinder Goyal has shared more details about Temple, his head-worn wearable that he describes as the world's first “room-deaf” voice AI companion. Unlike conventional voice AI devices that use microphones to capture sound, Temple uses motion sensors to detect the tiny vibrations produced when its wearer speaks and converts them into text. This allows it to pick up the user's voice without listening to surrounding sounds or conversations. In other words, Temple can hear its wearer, but the room remains silent to it. The device has no microphone, camera or screen, and users can activate it with a double tap. Small vibrations confirm when it starts and stops listening.

Goyal says the AI companion will let users capture thoughts and ideas, set reminders, remember details from conversations and send messages without reaching for their phones. It can also be used to log everyday activities, including meals and workouts, as well as health complaints such as headaches and dizziness. Temple can then build a record of these experiences and offer insights based on the information collected.
