Case filed under the Prevention of Corruption Act after TVK MLA Mustafa’s “horse-trading” claim, with ex-deputy mayor P.M. Mannan under inquiry.

Based on Madurai Central TVK MLA Mustafa’s complaint of horse-trading bid, CCB registers case under Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 and for criminal conspiracy and Mr. Mannan, now with the AIADMK, was picked up for inquiry.

Former Madurai Corporation Deputy Mayor, P.M. Mannan, who is now in the AIADMK, has been picked up by Central Crime Branch of Madurai City Police on Friday (November 6, 2026) for inquiry in a case pertaining to an allegation of “horse trading” made by ruling TVK MLA V.M.S. Mustafa.
