Man who tortured 19-year-old sister to death in Clementi gets life sentence for murder

A 34-year-old man who starved and beat his 19-year-old sister for more than two months in 2021 was sentenced to life imprisonment for murder on Nov 5. Read more at straitstimes.com.

- Huang Bocan, 34, got life imprisonment for murdering his 19-year-old sister after months of starvation, beatings and confinement in a Clementi flat.

- The court heard she died from severe malnutrition, sepsis and blunt force trauma after being chained in a toilet, denied food and badly beaten.

- Chee Mei Wan and Lim Peng Tiong were also involved. Lim got 14 years and 11 months’ jail, while Chee’s murder case is still pending.
