London's second to Paris for best nightlife in Europe... but getting home is easier

The European capitals were given a combined score based on their nightlife and late-night public transport offerings

The London After Dark report analysed 5,848 responses across 26 European capitals, with each city given a combined score based on the quality of its nightlife and its public transport offerings.

While Paris ranked higher in nightlife by almost six percentage points, it was London’s transport that got the UK capital over the line.

London’s transport - providing an easy journey home after a night out - was second only to Vienna, which led the European rankings and scored 6.4 percentage points above London.
