Warriors get stout effort from Draymond Green in win over Heat
San Francisco Chronicle · Luca Evans ·
Golden State Warriors big man Draymond Green played a big role against Miami on Monday as his team won its sixth in a row.
Napoleon complex, noun. Defined, by Merriam-Webster: a domineering or aggressive attitude perceived as a form of overcompensation for being physically short or small.
Draymond Green has a bit of this, he believes. Basketball-wise. His entire identity, at the moment, is founded on overcompensation. Green cannot give ground, he believes. He cannot let himself be pushed around without pushing back. You win the battle on the high road there, maybe; you lose the war of respect. And it is for all these reasons, ultimately, that he justified his Monday night takedown of 20-year-old Phoenix Suns center Khaman Maluach, a player with seven inches on Green but ceding 16 years.
