As someone born and raised in India, I've been all over the country. The Taj Mahal is worth a visit, but tourists can skip the Gateway of India.

India still surprises me, and I was born and raised here.

I've spent years exploring the country, from the palaces in Rajasthan to the backwaters of Kerala, and almost every trip turns up something I didn't expect.

Friends, family, and plenty of strangers online ask me the same question: "What's really worth seeing in India?"
