The Prime Minister hailed the women affected by the rapist’s offending for having ‘the courage to speak out’.

Andy Burnham has praised the courage of Russell Brand’s victims as police chiefs prepare for a flood of further allegations against the rapist comedian.

Brand faces years in prison after he was convicted of raping one of his fans and sexually assaulting three women during his showbiz heyday.

The 51-year-old preyed on women he encountered while becoming one of Britain’s best-known stand-up comedians, a lauded TV and radio host, and a Hollywood movie star.
