The right-wing firebrand, who trails in a close race, sounded a familiar refrain through her campaign’s lawyer.

Once an election denier, always an election denier?

Rep Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.), who proudly backed Donald Trump’s lie that the 2020 election was stolen from him, hinted at wrongdoing this week in the vote tally of her own midterm election race. The counting remained in progress as of this writing.

Scott Gessler, a lawyer for her campaign, said in a news release Wednesday, “We are investigating some very unusual voting patterns and expect this election to head to a recount, one way or another.”
