The iShares Semiconductor ETF jumped nearly 5% before the open, and Nasdaq 100 futures rose 1.3%, after the index suffered its worst day since April 2025 on Thursday.

Among chipmakers hit hard the previous session, Lam Research (LRCX) surged more than 9% in the premarket trade, Micron (MU) jumped 7.5% and Marvell (MRVL) rose around 7%. AMD (AMD) and Applied Materials (AMAT) surged over 6% each, while Broadcom, Intel and U.S.-listed shares of SK Hynix added between 4% and 5%.
