Tesla is winding down Cybertruck production after U.S. sales plunged, while Musk shifts capacity toward Cybercab

Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ:TSLA) is winding down Cybertruck production after U.S. sales plunged 48% last year, as CEO Elon Musk makes room for his next big bet: the Cybercab robotaxi.

Musk announced that Cybertruck production at Gigafactory Texas would wind down around mid-2027 to accommodate increased Cybercab output.

He did not say whether the pickup would be manufactured elsewhere or discontinued entirely.
