Won Yu-min Elected Asia Paralympic Committee Athletes Chairperson Dual IPC and APC leadership to amplify South Koreas influence in global para-sports, says Minister Chae Hwi-young

[OSEN=Jeong Seung-woo Reporter] Won Yu-min (38) has been elected as the Chairperson of the Athletes' Committee at the Asia Paralympic Committee (APC). Following his role as Vice Chairperson of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Athletes' Committee, his appointment as the Asian Athletes' Committee Chairperson is expected to expand South Korea's influence in the international para-sports arena.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced on the 6th Won Yu-min's election as APC Athletes' Committee Chairperson and disclosed a congratulatory message from Minister Chae Hwi-young.

Won Yu-min was elected as the APC Athletes' Committee Chairperson on the same day. His term will last for four years until 2030. This follows his election as an APC Athletes' Committee member during the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Para Games on October 23.
