BofA downgrades International Flavors & Fragrances stock rating on valuation concerns

Investing.com - BofA Securities downgraded International Flavors & Fragrances stock to Underperform from Buy and lowered its price target to $91 from $95.

The company reported third-quarter adjusted EBITDA of $403 million, exceeding BofA’s estimate of $398 million and the consensus estimate of $389 million. The outperformance was driven by revenue as the company continued to deliver results above conservative guidance. Despite the near-term concerns, InvestingPro analysis suggests the stock remains undervalued relative to its Fair Value, placing it among opportunities on the platform’s most undervalued stocks list.

BofA noted that when consumer packaged goods companies shift formulations and ingredient intensity, these commercial decisions typically have staying power of 12 months or more. The firm said this supports management’s view that the industry remains in the earlier stages of the current cycle.
