'I don't want to move into the home she shared with her ex'

Coleen advises a reader whose partner has asked him to move in. The only issue is that it would be into the house she shared with her ex. Will it be weird? Is he making too big a deal of things?

Dear Coleen,

I’ve been dating a woman for a couple of years who’s divorced with two young children. She wants me to move into her home, which she used to share with her ex and it’s bigger than my bachelor pad.

I’m not sure, though. It has all their things from when they were married, including their bed, which feels weird. I think I’d feel like a lodger.
