Resident AUVs are reshaping support-vessel demand, providing more frequent inspections with fewer vessel days and lower costs and emissions.

Resident autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) are reshaping the automation of offshore inspection by staying close to the infrastructure and returning to work on demand.

The result is a reduction in vessel support, though some basins and tasks will still require it.
