Iran Destroys $500 Million THAAD Radar, Weakens US Detection Systems Satellite Images Reveal Damage to 26 Bases, Including Aircraft and Communication Systems

Iran attacked US military bases and facilities in the Middle East, starting with early warning radars and air defense detection systems, which serve as the US military’s eyes and ears, as revealed.

AP reported on October 31 that it had investigated satellite images showing damage to US military bases, facilities, aircraft, and other assets over six months from the outbreak of the war (February 28) until the end of August. Separately, the Wall Street Journal (WSJ), after analyzing tens of thousands of satellite images, assessed that “Iran has improved its ability to coordinate attack sequences and precisely strike targets.”

Iran first neutralized or weakened key equipment that detects incoming missiles and drones and provides information for air defense systems to intercept them, then expanded its targets to aircraft, hangars, warehouses, communication facilities, fuel storage sites, and soldiers’ living quarters. It first disrupted the defensive capabilities of US bases before attacking the equipment and facilities needed to operate them.
