Nate Silver Already Issues 2028 Election Analysis — And It's A Banger

The famed forecaster weighed in on the presidential race just a day after the midterms.

Political data wonk Nate Silver already looked ahead to 2028, declaring that “Republicans are in a hell of a predicament” for the presidential election.

In a Silver Bulletin report on Wednesday, he compared the Democrats’ midterm House and Senate takeover this week to the 2006 midterm that had a similar result.

“The ‘smart’ conventional wisdom is: midterms don’t predict future elections,” he explained. “I’m not so sure about that for a profoundly unpopular, lame-duck president.”
