Opinion: What will Democrats do with the power they’ve just been given? Here’s hoping they follow the Bay Area’s recent example and talk less, do more.

I was afraid to be optimistic about these midterms. One glance at the infamous needle on the New York Times homepage a few days ago sent me right back to Hillary Clinton’s devastating defeat in 2016.

Hope for democracy’s future has been so tested over the past decade that I was certainly hesitant to think a blue wave would be possible.
