Retired tennis star Gaël Monfils named captain of France's Davis Cup team

Recently retired tennis player Gaël Monfils was named captain of the French Davis Cup team, the country's tennis federation announced Saturday. France will next take part in the Davis Cup in February 2027 after having failed to qualify for this year's finals in Bologna.
