49ers ‘hope’ to get receiver Mike Evans back in ‘the coming weeks’

San Francisco 49ers GM John Lynch suggested Thursday that Mike Evans’ Achilles tendinitis could be stubborn and cast doubt on his availability for Sunday.

When discussing the health status of wide receivers Mike Evans and Deebo Samuel on Thursday, San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch said something that prompted a follow-up question.

“In the coming weeks,” Lynch said, “we hope to get Deebo and Mike back in the fold.”

The coming weeks? Hope?
