Students blockade French schools, universities as trade unions prepare for nationwide strike

Students blockaded at least 48 high schools in France on Tuesday, according to local authorities, as the country's trade unions prepare for a nationwide strike planned for November 5. The USL student union said 500 schools were blocked, while thousands of students also marched in Paris and several other cities.
