The Independent ·
A woman walking her dog in Brisbane said she rescued a koala joey that was being constricted by a python. Footage filmed on Tuesday (3 November) shows the mother koala pawing at the python. The woman said that she freed the joey by untangling the snake before releasing the koala to a tree. Koalas are listed as endangered in parts of Australia, threatened by habitat loss and disease.
