In Diriyah, the newly opened independent bookshop, The Book Department, aims to enhance Arabic-language art publishing by offering over 1,000 titles on architecture and visual culture, while also launching the TBD Publishing Grant to support local authors. Co-founders Mohammed Alruways and Abdullah Kenani plan to increase their Arabic stock to 30% over time, fostering both community engagement and cultural dialogue through events and a unique chair design initiative.
