Last weekend, we celebrated my daughter Georgie’s 18th birthday with our annual mother-and-daughter visit to The Langham Melbourne. It’s a hotel ritual that began when Georgie was three and dubbed it the “Pink Hotel” as she skipped and jumped between the colourful carpet designs on her way down the corridor.
